A: This is the supported maximal number user/admin sessions which is covered within the support and warranty contract provided for paying customers for a single server installation. Bigger work loads require the cluster version.
  4. Q: I see DriverMatrix is available to download. Where is SoftwareMatrix and ConnectionMatrix?
A: DriverMatrix is the first product from the SupportMatrix product line which is ready for general availability. We believe in r”elease early and release often” so we’ve put it on the web site for everybody to enjoy. The other products will become available over time. Check this space for updates.
  5. Q: What version of kvm is SupportMatrix based on?
    A: kvm-35
  6. Q: Are there known bugs?
A: As for version 1.0.0-1, rebooting a virtual machine causes a freeze of that machine and consumption of 100% CPU. It is a known issue of kvm, which is already solved in later versions. As long as the VM is not rebooted, everything is cool.
  7. Q: Why don’t you upgrade to a newer kvm then?
    A: We’re working on it.
  8. Q: Which operating systems are supported as virtual machines?

A: Currently English, Japanese, German and Hebrew are included. Other language can be easily added according to customers demand.
  10. Q: How many concurrent sessions can the product support?
A: In the open source release which is a single server based, 30 concurrent sessions can be used on a server that meets the requirements according to the user manual. Amounts of 30 - 1K concurrent sessions require the cluster version of the product.
  11. Q: Your site says that DriverMatrix supports “simulated peripherals devices”, - which devices are supported?
    A
: Paying customers get the service of building customer specific models as part of their contracts. In current  DriverMatrix installations the simulated peripherals devices are customer specific models that we could not include them in the Open Source release.
Over time we hope to build a library of generic hardware components that we can release as well.
